Dead Space Remake Devs Improve Weapon Sounds in Response to Fan Criticism
Developers at EA Motive have improved the weapon sound effects in Dead Space in response to fan criticism.
Dead Space remake is one of the most important upcoming projects from Electronic Arts and developers working on it are doing their best to meet the expectations. The developers proved it by announcing changes in sound effects, inspired by the suggestions of the fan community.
- Players did not like what they heard in the March stream. The developers made the changes and have now tweeted a short video with modified sounds for two weapons (Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle).
- The video presents how these two types of weapons sounded in the original from 2008, on the March gameplay and now, after the implementation of community's suggestions.
- The new sound effects are more "juicy" and should appeal to the fans.
It is worth adding that some players complain about the recoil animation visible in this material. Here, however, it is worthwhile to wait with criticism. This is because the devs warned that this video is intended only to demonstrate sound effects. Everything else in it - including animations, textures and models - is at an early stage of development and is not representative of the quality that the full remake will offer.
The remake of Dead Space will be released in 2023 at the earliest.. The game is coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
