We learned the release date of the first of the two major expansions that are planned for Dead Island 2. In a press release sent by the publisher, it was stated that the DLC titled Haus will arrive to players in less than a month, on November 2 to be exact.

Telling a new story, the DLC will debut simultaneously on all platforms on which the base game was released, i.e. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

New terrains, story and weapons

The eponymous Haus comes from the location, where the story of the DLC will take place. Within its framework we will find ourselves in a quaint and stylish villa located in the Californian city of Malibu, near Los Angeles.

In addition to zombies, in this habitat of debauchery the players will encounter a mysterious sect called "techno-death", headed by a billionaire named Konstantin.

In the expansion, we will visit the nightmarish shrine of the cult, whose thresholds are crossed by people who are widely considered to be missing. Interestingly, traversing the locations in Haus is to resemble walking through an insane maze.

According to the developers, the architecture of this creepy place is to be "undermined by expanding narrative spaces" - which heralds a surreal atmosphere.

In order to survive in an unfamiliar and hostile environment, the players will gain access to three new murder tools and eight fresh skill cards.
