David Beckham Returns to FIFA Games
The legendary figure of English football - David Beckham - will appear in FIFA 21. The Englishman will be seen in EA's game for the first time since FIFA 13, when he played in PSG.
FIFA 21 has recently included faces of some very famous people, headed by David Beckham, also from disciplines slightly different from football. Until now, we did not know what role we would see them in. Now it's been reported that the Englishman, who was once famous for his fantastic free kick goals, will appear in the Ultimate Team and Volta modes!
David Beckham will receive an icon card in Ultimate Team mode and will be added to the game on December 4 (the day FIFA 21 launches on next-gen) in two versions - base and average. He will, of course, be available in packs. Interestingly, anyone who has logged in to FIFA 21 at least once between October 9 2020 and January 15 2021 will receive a special, non-exchangeable Beckham card from Real Madrid in FUT. Its overall rating will be based on the performance of the Englishman against Real Betis in the 2003/2004 season and will be different from that of the icon. The Ultimate Team Beckham will start hitting the lineups from December 15, 2020.
In addition, the Volta mode will work similarly to FUT. Everyone who logged in between October 9 and January 15, 2021 will receive a special version of David Beckham's "Groundbreaker".
To celebrate the return of the Englishman to the series, EA Sports has also prepared a special video in which "Becks" adds a few words about achieving goals in life. At the end of the video we can also see that Beckham's special Real Mardyt card has an overall of 86.
FIFA 21 debuted on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 9 this year. On December 4, 2020, it will launch on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The next-gen version is to have a much better and more realistic visuals.
