Cyberpunk 2077 - Technical Details of the Show
Journalists of German website PC Games Hardware revealed that during the closed show, Cyberpunk 2077 was running on Alienware computers with GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. This enables us to imagine the hypothetical hardware specs of the PC on which the journalists played the game.
Yesterday, we learned that ray tracing and DLSS 2.0 will be available in Cyberpunk 2077 on the day of its release. And although according to Digital Foundry's analysis, the official gameplay footage shown recently did not have these effects, journalists from the German website PC Games Hardware suggest, that the version they played, worked with DLSS 2.0 enabled and had some ray tracing features implemented. The game renderer, on the other hand, worked at a resolution below 1080p, and the final graphics and resolution seen on the screen are the effect of DLSS. According to their information, during the closed show, Cyberpunk 2077 was running on Alienware PC with GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPU.
German journalists pointed out that the game looked very good in terms of graphics, but often had problems with retaining constant 60 FPS. The author of the article pointed out that in one moment the number of fps dropped even to about 30.
Thanks to the news about GPU used in the rig and photos made by the journalist during the show, one can conclude that the game was running on Alienware Aurora hardware, which can be won in the Cyberpunk competition. On the official website of the competition, the specs of the PC are presented, which enables us to image the hypothetical hardware configuration used at the closed show. Of course, it should be noted that currently, these are only guesses. CD Projekt RED does not provide a detailed specification, let alone game's official requirements.
