The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC has received a live-action trailer, in which Idris Elba warns us of the dangers lurking in Night City. The footage also shows action-packed gameplay from the upcoming expansion.
There are only two days left before the release of Phantom Liberty - the highly anticipated story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Meanwhile CD Projekt RED is heating up the atmosphere before the debut with another trailer. This time, Idris Elba, who plays the role of Solomon Reed in the game, talks about life in Night City. He has one piece of advice for us: in the expansion we need to go "All in". The footage contains impressive fragments of gameplay.
For those who liked not only the message, but also the execution of the trailer, I hasten to inform you that it was directed by Mike Diva. The American musician has previously collaborated with CD Projekt RED on a music video advertising the game, for the song No Save Point, and also created clips for artists such as Doja Cat and Lil Nas X.
What's more, the trailer provideds opportunity to hear the song Choke hold performed by Idris Elba himself. The actor's vocals will also be heard on the new radio - Dark Star, which has made its way to Cyberpunk 2077 along with update 2.0.
I had the pleasure of testing the DLC before its release at CD Projekt RED's headquarters, and I must admit that it made a very good impression on me (I played it on PS5). Dog Town, the new gameplay arena, is the other face of Night City, reminiscent of the iconic Escape from New York. According to Kacper Niepokolczycki, the movie with Kurt Russell was one of the sources of inspiration for the developers. The key characters for the plot - President Myers, netrunner Songbirg and especially agent Solomon Reed - are also interesting. Dog Town is definitely a place worth visiting.
