It seems that the developers from CD Projekt RED took to heart the reactions of players after the first announcements of changes that will appear in update 1.2. Developers were took flak for presenting only a few fixes, which were only a drop in the ocean of problems. Now, a full list of changes that will soon be implemented in Cyberpunk 2077 has been published and it turns out that there are as many as 504 of them.
First of all, there are many improvements to NPCs. The developers have fixed bugs such as characters getting stuck in certain doors, NPCs stumbling over other NPCs, or the T-pose bug. They will also react better to V's aggressive actions. The distance at which NCPD forces appear when a player commits a crime has also been increased.
Overall stability and performance of Cyberpunk 2077 have also been improved, with more efficient memory management to reduce the number of random crashes in the game. The engine has also received many improvements, which will directly affect the game's operation. Developers promise fewer fps drops and bugs, as well as an overall more pleasant experience in the game. It was noted, however, that these changes will be most noticeable on last-gen consoles and weaker PCs.
Cyberpunk 2077 has also been enriched with a very large number of changes in terms of individual missions. The developers have fixed dozens of smaller and larger bugs which prevented the completion of tasks or at least hindered it. Animations in conversation scenes have also been improved. Characters will no longer clip in furniture or talk with guns stuck to their hands. The camera has been improved, which could behave strangely when exiting vehicles. In addition, update 1.2 will allow more freedom in terms of key assignments.
The most important changes in update 1.2:
- Numerous bug fixes in NPC behavior;
- Increased the distance at which the NCPD appears after a crime is commited;
- Improved performance and game stability, especially on last-gen consoles and lower-end PCs;
- Increased freedom in key assignment;
- Improved animations in conversation scenes;
- Numerous changes in individual missions to eliminate bugs.
The list of all fixes is very long, and it's worth taking a look at the individual changes yourself. Some of them apply only to certain platforms. Together, however, they form a really comprehensive package that can fix many of the problems faced by players. Unfortunately, it still hasn't been revealed when the update will be made available to players. However, given that CD Projekt RED has published a full list of changes, we can expect it soon.
