Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Improves Crowd Behavior

The Alternate Crowd Behavior mod, created by user TemplarGFX, changes the behavior of NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077, making characters less likely to run in circles and bump into each other.

User TemplarGFX created a mod for Cyberpunk 2077, which improves the behavior of NPCs wandering around the city - it makes them less likely to run around in circles and improves obstacle detection and reactions to other NPCs (unfortunately, they still sometimes disappear for no reason when we turn around - this is something the creator couldn't change). Modification called Alternate Crowd Behavior does this through a special .ini file.

You can download the mod from Nexus Mods in two versions - Full and Lite. The first one brings better effects, but may have a negative impact on performance in scenes where CPU power is most important (with large crowds). The Lite version tries to improve NPC behavior and at the same time minimize the mod's impact on performance.

Installing Alternate Crowd Behavior is extremely easy - just copy the selected .ini file (only one of them) into the following folder path: Cyberpunk2077\engine\config\platform\pc.

Strange behavior of NPCs is certainly not the biggest problem of Cyberpunk 2077, but sometimes it's quite striking and can spoil the fun. Undoubtedly, also in this respect, the game world is far from the promises made by the developers before the release, which is well illustrated by the following video published on Reddit.
