Cyberpunk 2077 is Back on Top - Top 10 on Steam

A new list has been released of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the past week on Steam. There was only one newcomer in the list, but it is interesting nonetheless, mainly due to the return of a certain forsaken game to the top.

Cyberpunk 2077's triumphant comeback

The first place is invariably occupied by Steam Deck, but among games the biggest bestseller was Cyberpunk 2077. There are three reasons for the return of CD Projekt RED's game to the top. The first is the warmly received update 1.6. The second - an attractive discount, enabling you to buy the game for half the price, and the third (and who knows if not the most important) the premiere of the excellent anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix.

The increase in popularity of the game can also be seen, by the way, in the activity data. The record for Thursday (two days after the debut of the anime) was 36,000 simultaneous players. It's been a long time since the game has enjoyed such a popularity, and each successive day brought better and better results, eventually reaching more than 85 thousand concurrent users on Sunday.

Successful debut of Metal: Hellsinger

Also doing well was the heavy-metal shooter Metal: Hellsinger, which debuted at number 7. The game not only sold well, but also received a very warm reception - on Steam 97% of user reviews praised the title, which is categorized as an "overwhelmingly positive" reception.

Preorders of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II are also very popular, whose two different editions ranked third and fourth on the list.

Also successful was the still ongoing Sony game sale - thanks to discounts, the top 10 included the games God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn - Complete Edition and Days Gone. Also included in the list was Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, another former PlayStation exclusive, but no discount was organized for it.
