Cyberpunk 2077 Bugs and Funny Glitches Galore
Despite two major updates, the launch edition of Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with various bugs and glitches. The optimization of the game is also not looking good. Particularly Xbox One S users seem to have drawn the shortest straw.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Players report that Cyberpunk 2077 still has a lot of bugs and problems;
- A dedicated megathread has been created on Reddit, where you can report bugs and seek help;
- There is also some positive feedback.
Yesterday, the world has finally seen the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, according to the players, despite some large pre-release / day 1 updates, the game still has a lot of problems and bugs. On Reddit there is a dedicated thread collecting the bugs found by the players. These are mainly various kinds of glitches, but there are also some fozen conversations or tasks - fortunately it usually helps to load a save.
Unfortunately there are also problems with the game's performance. The most serious seem to be the situation of Xbox One S owners, who complain about very low resolution and large fps drops. One of the users notes that even the game's intro had problems on his console.
"Yeah I'm on a one S and when it started dropping frames and stuttering during the INTRO I was like nope. It looks rough. Hopefully the patch gets it playable," writes Timmy2K81. In one of the next entries, after downloading the patch, he adds that he decided to demand a refund.
Cyberpunk 2077 - bizarre bugs
Some of the bugs are less of an annoyance and more goofy issues. For example, one of the players "healed" a man in a wheelchair... by hitting him. Well-known industry journalist Jason Schreier, on the other hand, found a mistake that made small trees appear almost everywhere in the game world.
A lot of different glitches and bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 is shown by youtuber Michael Does Life on his channel. The number of videos dedicated to this issue even makes it easy to consider him a hater (or someone who decided to take advantage of the game's popularity and the fact that he managed to get a copy earlier than others to attract viewers to his channel).
In turn, LegolasGamer has published material that compares the graphics from the E3 2018 trailer to what he found on a standard PS4.
There is also positive feedback
It is worth noting that not all entries are critical. For example, nomgirl indicates that so far she has encountered only two errors and none of them was serious. The user was also positively surprised how well Cyberpunk 2077 works on the basic version of PlayStation 4.
"I played a bit on the basic PS4 and noticed two bugs. One of them made my character slip on the floor every time I finished tutorial. The second was that the little hints in the top corner didn't disappear after the combat tutorial, but I reloaded the game and it was fine.
I'm also surprised how well it works. My PS4 doesn't even sound bad, usually I barely notice the fans working. It's certainly not as bad as when I played RDR2," we read.
Although some of the first impressions are good, CD Projekt RED's new has some problems. Hopefully, developers will be able to fix them relatively quickly.
