Croc HD Remaster Finally in the Pipeline; Dev Confirms
Fans of the Croc series have great reason to rejoice. Argonaut Software founder Jez San has revealed that the iconic platformer will finally get a remaster.
It seems that the fad for revamping classics has also reached the iconic Croc. Jez San - the developer responsible for the creation of the platformer - confirmed on social media that 1997's Croc: Legend of the Gobbos will be refreshed and adapted to modern standards.
Interestingly, this information would most likely not have seen the light of day (at least for now) had it not been for the fact that the editors of Time Extension wrote an article about the iconic Croc. The author of the text - James Batchelor - shared it on Twitter and took the opportunity to call for a remaster of the platformer.
The aforementioned Jez San, seeing this, decided to respond to the journalist's post:
As a final reminder, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was released in 1997 on PC and PlayStation 1. The 3D platformer, whose protagonist is the titular crocodile, became one of the biggest hits of Argonaut Games. In 2000, the second installment of Croc's adventures appeared on the market, titled Kingdom of the Gobbos. This time, however, the game was released exclusively for personal computers.
