Creators of Metro are Working on Next Installment
THQ Nordic's CEO announced that 4A Games is already working on the next installment of the post-apocalyptic Metro series.
Metro Exodus got the best launch in the history of THQ Nordic. We weren't surprised when the publisher announced that 4A Games had already started working on the next installment of the series. This information was disclosed by CEO Lars Wingefor when discussing the company's latest financial results with the investors.
Only half a year has passed since the release of Metro Exodus, so the next installment of the series must be at an early stage of production. Fans of the series must therefore be patient, because a lot of time will pass before we get to know any concrete details about this project.
The series was initiated by the game Metro 2033, released in 2010. Three years later a continuation entitled Metro: Last Light was released. The third part of the series, Metro Exodus, launched on February 15, this year on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to very positive reviews.
Currently the team is working on two story expansions to the third part of the cycle. The first one, Metro Exodus: The Two Colonels, will be released this year. The second one, Exodus Metro: Sam's Story, will appear in 2020.
