Control Ultimate Edition Released Date on PS5 and XSX/S
Remedy Entertainment announced the release date of Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. It was also revealed that the title will offer two graphic modes, including ray tracing, on these consoles.
In early November we announced that the release of Control Ultimate Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was delayed. We will wait until February 2 (digital version) and March 2, 2021 (boxed version) for these versions. Originally they were to be released on next-gen consoles before the end of this year.
In addition, the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment revealed on its Twitter that on PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S consoles the players will be able to choose between two graphic modes. The performance will provide 60 fps and the graphic mode 30 fps, but with better visuals, including ray tracing effects. Unfortunately, the developer did not reveal the target resolutions, but it can be assumed that on Xbox Series S it will be significantly lower. To celebrate the announcement, a short teaser was published before a full-fledged trailer that will show both graphic modes on PS5.
Control was released on August 27, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In August this year, the Ultimate edition was released on these platforms, including all DLCs (The Foundation and AWE), which will soon be available to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users, as announced. So far, Controlhas reached over 2 million players in total.
