Constance in Honkai Star Rail (HSR) - Everything We Know
Constance has not shown her face in game yet, but she’s still a highly anticipated character in HSR. Here is what we know about her.
Constance was introduced over two months ago from the time of writing this article, in a trailer on the official Honkai Star Rail Youtube channel. Now, Patch 2.1 has finally brought her first spoken lines in game. Below, we take a closer look on what is known so far about this enigmatic character.

Constance in Honkai Star Rail (HSR) – Everything We Know
The majority of information about Constance, including her appearance, still comes from the Myriad Celestia Trailer – A Night of Ever-Flame: Scene 33, posted on the HSR Youtube channel. The trailer introduces the cast of the Ever-Flame Mansion Faction, lead by Duke Inferno, also known as Ifrit.
He introduces each of his “children”, with Constance being last, but not least – she is said to be his “most ambitious and exceptional child”, who does not need further instruction before an attack on Penacony. She was also specifically directed to go after the Remebrance, referring to one of the Paths in the world of HSR.
Constance’s abilities in HSR
There are some things we can infer about Constance from this trailer. Although as of writing this article there are no leaks about playable Constance or her kit, from Akash in the Myriad Celestia Tailer prompting “Since when have those on the Path of Destruction Feared death?” we can guess that Constance is a Destruction character.
We also note that Constance is shown with horns curling around her face, and a long, thin tail ending with a spade shape, which both glow with blue flames. This points to her being a unique race, possibly an antithesis to the angelic beings represented by Sunday and his sister Robin.
Is Constance still alive in HSR?
The trailer sparked a lot of excitement for the new characters. However, to the shock and surprise of players, after having a run-in with Acheron off-screen, which only received a cursory mention in patch 2.0, they all disappeared. The entire family had been presumed dead ever since – until patch 2.1.
Constance does not appear personally, but speaks to Black Swan as she tries to recover memories from a music box tied to the Ever-Flame gang. The cutscene seems to suggest that Constance has a way of erasing residual memories, or at least blocking Remembrance-related powers from working. This fits with her mission from Duke Inferno to “leave naught but the Remembrance’s tomb”.
Constance tells Black Swan they were supposed to spend an “unforgettable time” together on Penacony, but that is unlikely to happen, as she is unwelcome there. Constance also taunts Black Swan, hinting that she knows the secret Black Swan wants, and can give it to her.
It’s important to note that Black Swan is the Emanator of Fuli, the Remembrance Aeon. That makes her Constance’s primary target. It is possible that those two will meet somewhere else in the future after the conclusion of Penacony’s plot.
