CoH 3 Divided Gamers; 57% Positive Reviews on Steam
The launch of Company of Heroes 3 resonated with gamers. Unfortunately, the game's popularity has not translated into positive reviews. The community is divided, and opinions are mixed.
Company of Heroes 3, the next installment of the popular real-time strategy game series, has launched. This title has aroused great interest on the part of players. This can be seen, for example, by the number of users playing simultaneously (according to SteamDB at the time of writing, there were more than 27 thousand of them). However, the popularity of the game did not translate into its high ratings from players.
Mixed reception on Steam
On Steam Company of Heroes 3 currently has nearly 3,500 reviews, of which only 57% are positive. This translates into a "mixed" rating. Among the biggest advantages of the gameare the users mention optimization and balanced multiplayer gameplay.
As for the disadvantages, however, their list is quite long. Players criticize many aspects of the gameplay. Among the problems cited are:
- Artificial intelligence of opponents, which does not stand at a satisfactorily high level. Often it is too passive;
- content that is supposedly not worth the current price.. The game also allegedly does not offer significant improvements over the previous installment;
- poor sound design. According to many people, the audio quality is very low, making the whole thing sound unnatural;
- there were also claims about the poor quality of the visuals. The most critical people even compare it to that of the first installment;
- non-transparent interface;
- minor bugs.
It is worth noting here that Company of Heroes 3's product card on Steam has been flooded with negative reviews from people who have spent only a dozen or so minutes in the title.. After such time, it is difficult to determine whether the game is actually worth recommending.
Reddit more favorable
On Reddit, however Company of Heroes 3 seems to enjoy a more positive reception. Players praise the game's technical condition. They appreciate, among other things, the lack of critical bugs that prevent play and excellent optimization.
Of course, there will still be voices about the same problems described above. Still, the overall tone remains less critical than on Steam.
