Rambo Will Appear in CoD: Warzone Soon
In a Twitter post, the creators of Call of Duty: Warzone hinted that John Rambo will be making his way into the game any day now.
Everything indicates that Call of Duty: Warzone will soon see a cameo from John Rambo himself., the created by writer David Morrell, known mainly from the popular series of action movies, starring Sylvester Stallone.
Rambo's debut in CoD: Warzone was suggested by a teaser published on the official Twitter account of the brand. It features the phrase "SURVIVORJOHN#1009062" and stats of a player with this nickname. He or she has five victories to their credit - that's how many films the cinematic series consists of. The number of kills is 552, which is exactly how many Stallone's character eliminated in all movies. Also, the number of 7 hours spent in the game corresponds to the total runtime of the entire Rambo movie series.
It's a perfect moment to add this character to the game, because last month there was an event in which an atomic bomb was dropped on Verdansk. After the event, when players returned to the game, a heavily modified version of the location was waiting for them (the action was moved to the 1980s). In this decade, the first three installments of the film series were released and it was the period of the brand's greatest popularity.
Unfortunately, it is not known when exactly Rambo will hit Call of Duty: Warzone. However, the fact that the developers have already started teasing his arrival suggests that we won't have to wait long. We're also curious to see if he'll be the only 80s action movie hero to appear in the game. That decade was exceptionally rich in this respect, so it would be nice to see digital versions of characters played by, for example, Chuck Norris or Arnold Schwarzenegger.
It is worth noting that this is not the only recent guest appearance of Rambo in a video game. At the end of last year, the hero joined the roster of Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the so-called Kombat Pass 2.
Call of Duty: Warzone was released in March last year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Thanks to backward compatibility, PS4 and Xbox Series X/S users can also play the title. The game uses free-to-play model with microtransactions and has already been tried by over 100 million people.
