- The Airports expansion for Cities: Skylines will be accompanied by four small DLCs;
- They will introduce new maps, radio stations and vehicles to the game;
- Their debut will take place on the same day - January 25.
Like every game released by Paradox Interactive, Cities: Skylines also boasts a fair number of expansions of all sorts. The game is regularly enriched with new DLCs, and the latest expansion has recently received its first trailer. It is called Airports and, as the title suggests, it will focus on air transport. What's more it will be accompanied by four smaller DLCs.
The first of these is Content Creator Map Pack, a set of eight maps designed by youtuber by the handle Sanctum Gamer. The second DLC is Content Creator Pack: Vehicles Of The World, which will introduce 21 new vehicles to the game. In addition, the creators will provide two new radio stations - The Mind and On Air. After turning on the first one we will hear soothing melodies helping with the peaceful development of the city, and the second will be an oasis for jazz lovers.
The main expansion, Airports, will enable us to design extensive airport hubs, which will boil down to combining multiple modules with different functions. As a result, players will be able to build huge airports, serving thousands of travelers, or transshipment points working as hubs of long-distance trade. If you are curious how it will look like in practice, an official stream will take place today at 6.30 am PT (2:30 pm GMT +1), during which the developers will present the new features.
All small DLCs and the Airports expansion will debut on January 25. The Content Creator Packs will cost around $6, and the radio stations - $4 (per item). The biggest amount of money will be spent on Airports, which is likely to cost around $12.
