Chivalry 2 Will Launch on Consoles and Offer Cross-play
The team at Torn Banner has announced console versions of Chivarly 2. What's more, the devs informed that the game will offer cross-play, allowing users on PC and PS4, XONE, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to have fun together.
A year ago, Torn Banner announced Chivalry 2. So far, it has only been reported that the project is coming to PCs. Now, the creators have announced that it will also launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Interestingly, Torn Banner also announced that Chivarly 2 will offer cross-play between all hardware platforms. Thus, we will be able to play together with other users regardless of the equipment we have.
To ensure cross-play, the devs declared that updates will be released simultaneously on all platforms.
Console versions of the game were announced during IGN's Summer of Gaming 2020 presentation, which is one of many virtual events to compensate for the cancelation of this year's E3. A new trailer of the game was also released, focusing on impressive fragments of large-scale multiplayer battles.
Chivalry 2 is due to be released this year, but so far the creators have not given an exact release date. The PC version will debut exclusively on Epic Games Store. It will be a temporary exclusive, and is scheduled to hit Steam a year later.
