In a nutshell:
- Torn Banner Studios and Tripwire Presents have announced the open beta of Chivalry 2;
- Testing will be available for free on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX|S from May 27 to June 1;
- It will offer cross-play, new maps and gameplay modes.
The release of Chivalry 2 is fast approaching. At the same time, Torn Banner Studios is more and more eager to show off their latest creation. After the closed tests it's time for a free, open beta including PC (Epic Games Store) and consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. It will begin on May 27 at 8 AM PT, and ends on June 1 at the same time. Pre-loads will be available 24 hours before the start of the action.
During the tests the cross-play option will be supported. This means that people playing on different platforms will meet on the servers. In the case of people using Sony consoles, a PS Plus subscription will not be required to play. Xbox owners, however, need Xbox Live Gold.
Compared to the closed beta, the open beta will offer new maps and gameplay modes. There will also be an option to change the appearance of our characters.
Chivalry 2 will enable us to take on the role of a medieval knight and participate in huge medieval battles. A variety of weapons and siege machines will be put at our disposal. The title will be distinguished by an extensive system of hand-to-hand combat and interactivity of the environment.
