Chivalry 2 Beta and Launch Delayed
Devs at Torn Banner announced that Chivalry 2, the successor to the online FPP knight action game from 2012, will not debut until 2021. The title will launch simultaneously on PC, PS5, PS4, XO and XSX.
This year we have already had a lot of delays, suffered by such high-profile titles as Cyberpunk 2077, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Fortress: War Lords, Hello: Infinite or DiRT 5. Now Chivalry 2 joins this group. The devs at Torn Banner announced that the game will not debut until 2021. The delay is due to the coronavirus pandemic, through which the schedule of work on the title has moved a little bit, and the creators' desire to deliver as good a position as possible.
Every cloud has a silver lining, though. The team at Torn Banner ensures that thanks to the delay, maps and features, which were originally supposed to debut only in the post-release support will appear in the game immediately. However, if you are hoping that horses will be among them, then unfortunately they will require a little longer wait.
Chivalry 2 will launch simultaneously on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Players from all of these platforms will be able to use cross-play. However, before they are able to place their hands on the full version of the title, they will be given the option to check it out in public beta-tests. These were originally intended to take place in the summer, but due to the delayed release they have also been postponed. The exact date of their start is to be announced soon.
