Cavill Confirms His Injury on Set of The Witcher, but He's Recovering
Henry Cavill admitted for the first time in media that he suffered an injury on the set of The Witcher season 2. Actor's recovery is slow but successful.
Less than a month ago we reported that Henry Cavill suffered an injury on the set of the second season of Netflix's The Witcher, which may have a direct impact on a slight extension of the production process of the popular fantasy show. We had to wait a little bit for the actor to confirm these reports, but eventually it happened. Yesterday Cavill published a post on his instagram, in which he boasted of his first jogging session since the injury:
"We are in lockdown here the UK so I'm using my once a day outdoor exercise to go for my first jog since my hamstring injury! (More on that another time). It wasn't fast, and it certainly was far, but it has been a major step in my recovery, and my first step to getting back into the groove after a Christmas that may have involved more than a few cups of mulled wine, and an exceptionally fat Turkey."
Torn femoral tendons are never a pleasant matter and Cavill's example shows that rehabilitation after such an injury requires a lot of patience and step-by-step action. Holidays have definitely helped him rest. And although it may sound a bit unpleasant and pragmatic, it is probably a good thing that Henry had to deal with the injury in this period, because these were free days anyway, so the activities on the set of The Witcher were temporarily suspended. This may give hope that the shooting are proceeding as planned and will not be delayed even despite the actor's condition. The premiere of the second season is planned for the second half of 2021.
