Call of Duty Vanguard Leaks Mention Release Date and Historical Accuracy
According to leaks about the upcoming Call of Duty (also known as CoD: Vanguard), Activision's game will be quite faithful to the history and will take us to the times after World War II. We also got to know the likely release date of the game.
According to recent rumors, the next installment of the Call of Duty series, allegedly subtitled Vanguard, is to be officially announced next Thursday, August 19. However, as it often happens, there are leaks before such major presentation. It happened this time as well - today the web was flooded with reports about the new shooter from Activision. Their credibility can be confirmed by the fact that they come, among others, from the reliable insider Tom Henderson and contain details about the bonuses attached to pre-orders.
Let's start, perhaps, with the release date. According to rumors, the title developed by Sledgehammer Games will be announced during a CoD: Warzone event, and be released on November 5, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX|S. Its alpha testing will likely take place next month, and the beta version of the game will be tested in October.
New CoD is to take us to post-World War II period. What's more, it will feature characters inspired by historical figures. According to Henderson, these are Soviet sharpshooter Lyudmila Pavlichenko, Allied soldier Sidney Cornell, aviator Vernon L. Micheel (known as "Mike") and New Zealander Charles Hazlitt Upham. The villain in the game is to be the former head of the Gestapo, Heinrich Müller.
There are even more leaks, though. They refer to the dynamic weather system, which is to appear in the multiplayer mode, and 24 maps intended for online play. It's unclear, whether all arenas will be available on launch day. Vanguard is also to feature the well-known and popular zombie mode, prepared by Treyarch, which developed its counterpart in last year's Black Ops - Cold War.
Will these rumors come true? Reality proves that it is very likely. Nevertheless, it's worth approaching them with the appropriate caution and wait for the official announcement.
