Call of Duty Series Earned Billions This Year
Activision has boasted that the Call of Duty series has earned $3 billion over the past 12 months. This is a record amont for such period in the brand's history.
The past year was successful for the Call of Duty series. Free, online Warzone has become extremely popular practically from the place (now it can boast over 85 million gamers), similarly to Black Ops - Cold War released in mid-November. According to Activision, its iconic franchise of first person shooters has earned over 3 billion dollars net in the past 12 months, which is an all-time record. Compared to last year, Call of Duty's earnings increased by 80% and the number of sold copies of games from the series by 40%. In addition, more than 200 million people have enjoyed the series over the past twelve months, which is also a record. Of course, the most successful period was last month, which was the best November ever in terms of the number of gamers and hours spent with Call of Duty games.
