Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster Not Far Away?
PEGI official website has added an entry for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. Thanks to this leak, we are pretty certain that the refreshed version of the game will soon be available for sale.
A few days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered appears in the PlayStation Plus offer, some interesting information about refreshed second installment of the series. The official Pan European Game Information (PEGI for short) website published an entry for to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. The entry has been removed since, but while it was there, we could learn that the game was marked as a production for adults, featuring violence and vulgar language.
This is not the first news that the remaster of Modern Warfare 2 is being developed. Moreover, the addition of Campaign Remastered seems to confirm earlier rumors suggesting that the production will include only the story campaign. The creators probably don't want to distract the players from the current series, where, as we know, multi-player plays a significant role.
The second interesting thing is that only the PlayStation 4 version has appeared in the PEGI database. Does this mean that PC and Xbox One users will have to do without? This seems unlikely, especially if we look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which has appeared on all leading platforms.
Let's remind that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was released on November 4, 2016, as a bonus for the Special Edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. A stand-alone version of the remaster appeared only in 2017. Will it be the same with Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered? We have to wait for the first official information.
The original release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 took place on November 10, 2009. The game was released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
