BlizzCon 2015 recap
At this year’s BlizzCon Blizzard Entertainment shared some exciting announcements for its big titles. If you missed the event that took place last weekend, we have a brief recap for you.
Warcraft film
The first full-fledged trailer for the upcoming Warcraft movie was revealed at this year’s BlizzCon. It gives a look behind the story of war between humans and orcs and introduces main heroes. The movie by Legendary Pictures will hit theaters in June 2016.
By the way, Activision Blizzard also announced that a new studio was created that will take care of moving the publisher’s biggest franchises onto TV screens. The first production is Skylander Academy, a TV series based on the best-selling series of action-adventure games with real life toys.
Heroes of the Storm
Heroes of the Storm is going to receive a fast-paced 5v5 Arena Mode. It was explained in detail in the video below.
Moreover, three new heroes will join the character roster soon: Luna (a ranged assassin), Grey Mane (a shape-shifter), and Cho’Gall (two-headed warrior controlled by two players). The three will come along a new battleground called Towers of Doom.
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
Another story expansion to Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft was announced. The League Of Explorers will introduce 45 new cards, new Discover Mode and will come in 4 wings – the first one to be released in November 12. More details on the expansion’s content can be found on Battle.net news.
Overwatch
Blizzard officially confirmed what we reported last week – Overwatch will not be a free-to-play game, since this business model is not very popular on consoles. The upcoming online shooter will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as a full-priced title in Spring 2016. Check out some new Overwatch videos:
StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void
StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, releasing tomorrow, is not the last portion of StarCraft content fans will be getting in the near future. Blizzard is cooking up new story content for the next year. The first expansion in line is Nova Covert Ops, a three-part mission pack planned for Spring 2016.

Diablo III
Diablo III is about to get a big update 2.4. First and foremost, the patch will introduce a new zone, Greyhollow Island, available in act V, but that is not all. If you are interested in details on revamped set items, buff user interface, and other features, head over to the game’s official blog.
World of Warcraft: Legion
Blizzard announced that the sixth expansion to their flag MMORPG, World of Warcraft: Legion, is coming in Summer 2016. Check out the videos below to see a cinematic trailer and learn of new gameplay features:
