Important changes to Mythic+ dungeons are awaiting in the second season of World of Warcraft: The War Within, following the frustrated players' feedback.

The developers from Blizzard Entertainment studio mentioned this "frustration" because, as stated in a post published on the official WoW page, this feeling dominated the fans' comments about the mythical dungeons. The players' frustration was primarily caused by: being "overwhelmed" with too many mechanics simultaneously, an excessively high level of challenge, and loot that didn't compensate for the effort required to obtain it.

The changes that will be tested on the Public Test Realm are intended to address all these allegations. Of course, players will receive significantly improved rewards, including those given as consolation for failed dungeon expeditions. The entire progression through Mythic+ has been "smoothed out," ensuring the challenge level doesn't rise too quickly, preventing less experienced players from immediately attempting level 7 of these dungeons.

This will be accompanied by major changes in mechanics, aiming to extend the casting time of certain enemy spells and reduce sudden spikes in damage received by tanks (or, in some cases, ensure the game provides better information about these spikes).

These and other changes were warmly received by the players, but the developers are counting on further feedback after they are tested by fans on the PTR.
