Blizzard didn't forget about Heroes of the Storm. Christmas update introduced few changes

Heroes of the Storm received a major update, improving balance and bringing holiday cheer to this forgotten MOBA game.

Partly resurrected Heroes of the Storm received a major update. Blizzard Entertainment has released a patch that, at first glance, seems like a typical holiday update that multiplayer titles usually receive.

However, ironically, Christmas motifs are only a small part of the update. The Snow Brawl map has returned to the custom games mode, and we will find holiday graphics in the game menu. However, the developers focused rather on improving the balance of heroes. Blizzard has revamped 10 characters in Heroes of the Storm, including Arthas, D.va, Imperius, and Varian, thus giving players an early Christmas gift.

Besides, the "janitor" (as fans claim half-mockingly, half-affectionately) has prepared a long list of improvements for many other heroes, not just purely cosmetic ones.

Therefore, such an update may come as a surprise. Blizzard effectively resurrected HotS over a year after discontinuing this MOBA game, but it certainly didn't entail active development of the title (or its marketing by the company). The update, which was available on the Public Test Server, originally didn't announce a return to the holiday atmosphere.

Most players didn't expect such a gift for Christmas, although fans hope that this time the devs won't force the HotS community to stay in the holiday spirit all year long. Of course, following the example of other games functioning on the principle of "life support," some people are deceived by the illusion that sooner or later the game will receive new content. However, it doesn't seem likely at the moment.
