Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner, and fans of the series should be excited to hear that one of the most popular shooter franchises is getting another installment that promises plenty of fun. Recently, Treyarch, the developers behind Black Ops 6, shared some updates regarding maps and game modes. They’ve also been transparent about the game’s system requirements, which were detailed a few days ago.

Additionally, we've received some new information about the preload for Black Ops 6 and a preview of the Prestige Emblems, which longtime fans will recognize. In this article, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the preload, showcase the new Prestige Emblems, and more.

BO6 preload information

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch on October 24 at 9 p.m. PT for both Battle.net and Steam. If you're looking to access the game from other regions, we’ve got you covered. Below, you’ll find a map showing the release times across different time zones.

The console release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will follow the usual pattern seen in previous installments. The PlayStation and Xbox versions are set to launch on October 24, with release times ranging from 4 a.m. PT to 11 p.m. PT. The game will also release on the Microsoft Store for PC at the same date and time.

Preloading for Black Ops 6 starts on October 21 at 9 a.m. PT for all platforms. Players who have pre-ordered the game or subscribed to select Game Pass plans can download Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombie Mode ahead of time, so they’ll be ready to go when the game officially drops.

There’s good news for players who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and already have Call of Duty installed. These players will receive the Black Ops 6 preload as an automatic update to their existing installation, similar to previous Call of Duty releases.

First reports of players preloading the game have surfaced online. The screenshot shared by Reddit user shows that the preload for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is 125.74 GB. However, it's important to note that this size includes the new game launcher called CoD HQ. According to official information from the developer, the default size of the preload is 102 GB, and downloading CoD HQ is optional. The Reddit user who posted the screenshot downloaded the game on Series X.

BO6 Prestige Emblems

The latest Call of Duty installments feature a Prestige system that allows players to showcase their playtime and max out their account rank. With this system, players can earn Prestige emblems, which they can proudly display as a sign of their progress. On Reddit we can find photo showcasing the Prestige emblems for Black Ops 6. The image highlights all the classic Black Ops Prestige icons, with the new emblems paying homage to the previous games in the series.
