BioShock 4 in Trouble? Rumors of Staff Leaving
The father of BioShock isn't the only one allegedly having problems with the new game. According to rumors, 2K Games is also not happy with the progress on BioShock 4.
Last month, rumors surfaced that Ken Levine, the father of BioShock - was having some problems with his new work. Apparently, those troubles were also felt by the developers working on the sequel to his famous series. Oops Leaks account on Twitter assures that BioShock 4 is not stuck in "development hell," but Cloud Chamber has already had 40 people leave, including the developers overseeing work on the project.
The Oops Leaks account, which provided a lot of information about the new BioShock in November did not give details about the circumstances of these employees' departure. Some of them were supposed to have left the team of their own free will, but some were fired.
- Take-Two is not happy with the progress of work on the game so far, which may partially explain the issue.
- As mentioned, work on BioShock 4 isn't stuck in place. Cloud Chamber is "merely" undergoing "minor restructuring" and has already begun recruiting new staff.
- 2K Games is probably still planning for the game to debut in fiscal year 2024 (other rumors mentioned a release later this year).
We point out that none of this information has been confirmed by official sources, and Oops Leaks has not yet gained enough reputation for us take their word for it.
