Rumor: Battlefield 6 and The Sims 5 May be Announced on EA Play Live
Interesting rumors have appeared in the web about the reveal date of Battlefield 6 and The Sims 4, as well as the planned release dates of both productions.
- Battlefield 6 and The Sims 5 will appear during June's EA Play Live 2021;
- BF6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2021,
- The Sims 5 is scheduled for release in spring 2022.
Speculations about new installments of the Battlefield and The Simsseries have been appearing for a long time. Now, a rumor surfaced on 4chan, suggesting that both projects will be revealed on June 14, during the EA Play Live 2021 show. As usual, until the official confirmation appears the information should be approached with caution, but it does sound quite convincing.
According to these reports, Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2021. There are versions planned for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and XONE. At the show, we're supposed to see a trailer with gameplay footage and video featuring statements from members of the development team.
In the case of The Sims 5 we're talking about the PC version only, and the game's release is scheduled for spring 2022. On EA Play Live we are supposed to see interviews with the creators and a teaser.
The same source offered some rumors about other Electronic Arts projects. We are supposed to see a trailer dedicated to the fourth generation of Frostbite engine, and all the games shown during the event will be powered by this technology.
We will also see gameplay trailers for Madden NFL 22 and FIFA 22. The first of these games is due to be released in August this year, and the second in October. Both games are heading to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and XONE. We're also supposed to see footage of the new seasons of Apex Legends and Knockout City and a teaser for Skate 4, but in the case of the latter, EA won't reveal a planned release date.
Two new games will also be announced during the show. The first of them is Miss Universe: The Official Game, based on the license of the eponymous beauty contest. EA Tiburon is working on the project, and the launch is expected in the spring of 2022.
Much more interesting is the second new item in the form of Kaitlyn's Journey from Heavy Iron Studios. This will be the first title powered by Frostbite engine to be released as part of EA Originals. The game is being developed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, XONE and Nintendo Switch. It will be released in an episodic model, with the first episode launching on November 2, 2021. We are expected to see the first teaser at the publisher's show, and the full trailer will be shown during Microsoft's conference.
