One of These Farming Spots in Diablo 4 is Not Like the Others
If you're looking for places to easily farm experience in Diablo 4, you'd better avoid this place.
Why follow the main story of Diablo IV, when everybody knows very well that the real "meat" of the game consists in methodical clearing of Sanctuary's locations from demons, monsters and other hellspawn.
After the introduction of patch 1.03, which significantly increased the XP received in the endgame, farming in the Nightmare Dungeons, according to players, has become much more satisfying. However, if you are looking for your spots to farm experience, it is better to avoid the places that the hero of this article will tell us about.
Cellars do not give back
Reddit user MrFrodoBeggins decided to test the effectiveness of farming in cellars - small, usually one or two-room dungeons, which are populated by a small number of opponents.
The player spent three days "cleaning" all the cellars and caverns, after which he decided to share the results of his experiment. He visited each of them 10 times - just to be sure of his results. Let's add that MrFrodoBeggins played a barbarian on the highest difficulty level.
During his experiment, he combed through 1,270 such mini-locations. He summarized his efforts as follows:
- he found 13 unique items and 200 legendary items;
- he collected 82.6 million XP points, which enabled him to advance from level 84 to 89;
- he farmed about 80 million gold and 6325 obols;
- he encountered the Butcher 3 times and found a special location with seven goblins 3 times.
Although gold and experience are counted in millions here, there is no need to delude oneself - by farming in other places the player would certainly achieve more - just to name a few dungeons. As MrFrodoBeggins himself admits:
"At the moment, I think that basements are the MAXIMUM useless type of activity that slows down: gaining experience, farming resources, farming legendary and unique items, and indeed any currency.
The most profitable thing that I got on this journey is Ore and Grass, which I collected running from cellar to cellar..."
This does not mean that in the basements you will not find anything interesting to do. Some of the rare but interesting underground locations are those filled with zombies, as you will find more enemies to defeat there.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for an easy way to get XP, we advise you not to head for the basements. You will only lose valuable time.
