Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 4 Inbound, Older Saves Will be Incompatible
Baldur's Gate 3 will soon receive a new major patch. The changes will be presented during a live stream with the developers from Larian Studios. Saves from the older version of the game will once again become incompatible with new build.
- Larian Studios announced another stream to discuss the major changes in Baldur's Gate 3;
- Panel guests will include Swen Vincke from Larian Studios and Joseph Crawford from Wizards of the Coast;
- Players may feel let down by the fact that once again the older saves will be incompatible with the new patch.
Larian Studios has revealed that another stream will be held this Wednesday at 10 AM PT, during which the creators will present what's new in Baldur's Gate 3. The main point of the program will be the biggest update to the game so far.
The meeting with the creators, titled Panel from Hell 2, will be held on Larian's official channels on Twitch, YouTube and on Steam. During the meeting we'll get to know Larian Studios' plans for the near future when it comes to BG3. The panel will be attended by the creative director of the Belgian team - Swen Vincke and the designer of the core rules of Dungeons &; Dragons - Joseph Crawford. There will also be the well-known presenter Geoff Keighley and several other representatives of Larian Studios.
The agenda includes the presentation of the fourth big patch for Baldur's Gate 3. It will improve the cut-scenes, introduce changes to the Tieflingrace, as well as modifications to the spells available in the game. The announcements regarding the changes to cows sound mysterious. Patch was hailed by Larian as the biggest in BG3's history. Players may feel disappointed by the fact that, as in the case of previous big patches, also this time older game saves will be incompatible with the latest version. However, it is worth remembering that BG3 is still in early access, so such situations are to be expected.
Recall that in August last year, during a similar stream, Larian announced the release date of Baldur's Gate 3 in early access. Later it was slightly delayed and the eventually launched on October 6, 2020. The release date of the final version of BG3 has not yet been revealed. Christopher in his preview pointed out the similarities to Divinity: Original Sin 2, but at the same time praised the game for being an excellent RPG.
