Baldur's Gate 3 in New Perspective; Photo Mode Announced
Larian is planning to introduce a photo mode to Baldur's Gate 3. Players are not hiding their satisfaction and are already planning a photo shoot for Astarion.
Baldur's Gate 3 offers an absolutely beautiful adventure, and not only in terms of the plot, the multitude of possibilities during combat and exploration, or thanks to brilliantly written characters whom you can grow to love. Larian Studios has created a world full of details that you just want to immortalize. We have good news, because in the near future a photo mode will be introduced to the game that will enable you to create breathtaking images or depict the silliness that players love.
Fifty shades of Astarion
Photo mode is almost a permanent feature of video games, and Baldur's Gate 3 has no shortage of beautiful vistas worth capturing with such a tool. Fortunately the developers plan to introduce such an option to the game. On Twitter/X one user made it clear that introducing a photo mode would be a great idea, To which the director of publishing at Larian Studios responded with a succinct "It's on the list".
This means that in probably the relatively near future, many threads on Reddit and social media will be overflowing with pictures of Astarion - a glorified, somewhat chaotic vampire who likes to abuse the term "darling." This is to be expected, if only from comments of players that refer to the photo mode and the pale-faced companion.
"I'll finally be able to fill my 12-terabyte drive with pictures of Astarion's face," writes MCleartist
"I'm going to buy an extra disk to create a set of OnlyFangs photos," declares MarzMalade
The above comment reminded me that Larian Studios created a funny video featuring Astarion advertising the fictional OnlyFangs service over a year ago. You can watch the video here.
I myself wish that with the introduction of the photo mode, Larian Studios would announce a contest for the best photo from the game, because then players would have an additional reason to show their creativity.
