Baldur's Gate 3 Gets Even Better; New Update Brings 300 Fixes [Update]
Baldur's Gate 3 has received a new hotfix that fixes some 300 bugs. Larian Studios assures that it is working hard on the PS5 version of the game.
UPDATE: Larian Studios has prepared a new small hotfix. The fix remedies the problem with too large game save files. The developer has also reactivated the cross-save feature, which should already work properly in anticipation of the PS5 edition's September release. Today, Larian Studios released a second hotfix, that introduces to Baldur's Gate 3 about 300 fixes and improvements. When announcing the update, the developers thanked the players for surpassing the number of 800,000 concurrent players on Steam.
Baldur's Gate 3 - new update
As already mentioned, the developers have fixed several hundred glitches encountered by players. Among them are various bugs related to gameplay, interface, engine, movie cutscenes or co-op mode. Below are just a few examples of the resolved issues. The full list of fixes can be found on Steam.
General:
- fixed a bug that caused dialogue to stutter;
- a rare bug related to moving items has been eliminated.
Co-op mode:
- A glitch that caused dialogue to mute in co-op has been fixed.
Gameplay:
- gnome wizards now have their panties in place;
- necromancers should already be joining the fight against Ketheric.
Interface:
- removed the version number that was under the minimap;
- improved stability, preventing possible glitches and errors when saving the game.
Engine:
- fixed an issue with rendering on Vulkan when minimizing the game;
- added more network servers and support for scaling them.
Movie interludes:
- improved the pause option and eliminated prolonged silence in more than 200 dialogues;
- characters no longer obstruct the camera frame during some sequences.
It is worth noting that Larian Studios mentioned in the announcement that it is working intensively on the Baldur's Gate 3 version for PlayStation 5. Recall that Sony console owners will be able to try out this lauded game on September 6 - same time when Starfield.
