Assetto Corsa Competizione Release Date Confirmed
We've learned the official launch date of Assetto Corsa Competizione. The expansive racing simulator is expected to release in full version on May 29, this year.
Inspired by Blancpain GT series, the Assetto Corsa Competizione racing simulator has been in early access since September, last year. The game is launching out in the near future. Kunos Simulazioni studio has announced the release date of the final version, which will launch on May 29. At the moment you can buy the game on Steam for $44.99.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is an expansive racing simulator that draws inspiration from the Blancpain GT series of events organized by SRO Motorsports Group. The devs made it their point to emphasize realism in the game. All routes have been mapped in every detail, based on laser scans of their real-life counterparts. The steering model has also been developed with equal care, taking into account, among other things, the grip of the tires, the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle and the impact of mechanical damage. The game was developed on Unreal 4 Engine, enabling the creation of hyper-realistic graphics, which takes into account the changing weather conditions and the day and night cycle.
In the game you will be able to compete with other players in multiplayer mode. For the fans of playing solo three variants have been implemented - career, championship, and free ride. The latter was developed in collaboration with Mirko Bortolotti, winner of Blancpain GT series in 2017.
It is worth mentioning that Assetto Corsa Competizione is the second installment of the racing simulator series from Kunos Simulazioni. The previous installment of Assetto Corsa was released on December 19, 2014 on PC. The game was very warmly welcomed by the players. The average score for the PC version on Metacritic is 85/100 points.
