Assetto Corsa Competizione Leaves Early Access
After spending several months in Early Access, the long-awaited production of the Italian studio Kudos Simulazioni - Assetto Corsa Competizione - officially left this phase and officially debuted on Steam.
Less than five years after the launch of Assetto Corsa on Steam, the second part of this popular racing game - Assetto Corsa Competizione - made its debut. The work of the Italian studio Kudos Simulazioni was available in Early Access from September last year and yesterday, on May 29, 2019, the game officially appeared in Steam database.
Compared to previous versions available in the Early Access phase, the developers introduced a number of changes in the final edition of the game. Assetto Corsa Competizione features several new cars (including the Mercedes AMG-GT3, Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 and Porsche 911 (991) GT3 R) as well as four new race tracks: Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
There were also some changes to the driving model, such as improved ABS performance and the mechanics of flatspotting, the so-called local flattening of the tyre. Drivers can now test their vehicle with different amounts of fuel in their tank (only in training sessions). We can also find new products in the field of tyres, where we can find, among other things, more detailed tyre damage. An advanced wind simulation has also been introduced, affecting driving.
Thefull version of Assetto Corsa Competizione also features major gameplay modes: full season Blancpain GT series championships and a two-year career, as well as the ability to record game status on a single race weekend. The changes also affected the artificial intelligence module of virtual drivers and the penalty system. In addition, improvements have been made to the visual design and interface of the title.
