Apex Legends Season 14 Revamps Map and Increases Progression Cap
We learned new information regarding season 14 of Apex Legends. The developers have plans to raise the progression cap and heavily revamp the King's Canyon map.
Respawn Entertainment has revealed further details regarding the new season of Apex Legends. It has been given the subtitle Hunted and will launch on August 9, which is next Tuesday.
Level cap increase
Currently, players can progress a character up to level 500. In season 14, we will be able to take this path additional three times, effectively reaching level 2000.
Players will be given the opportunity to earn an additional 345 Apex Packs as part of our account progression. Currently, the limit is 200.
Changes to King's Canyon
In season 14 we will get a refreshed version of the popular King's Canyon map.
- Sections of the map (the city of skulls and the thunder dome), which were sunk by an explosion in season five, will be restored.
- Changes also await the structure known as the cage, the top of which will be simplified - so that it offers less cover. Similar changes will take place at a point near the homestead, from which some walls have also been removed.
- Some of the connections between locations will disappear from the map (such as the cave using which we could get from the marketplace to the middle of the river), so that the gameplay will be smoother and the emergence of teams more predictable.
- Some destroyed buildings will also be restored.
- Loot will be redesigned, in such respects as their quality, quantity and the balance of distribution between points.
- Changes also await the lighting. It will be brighter and the entire map will be more colorful.
Finally, let us remind you that a few days ago the authors also revealed a new heroine, who will join the gallery of playable characters with the launch of the next season. She is a sniper known as Vantage, who comes from the ice planet Pagos.
