Apartment in Shadows of Doubt; Everything You Should Know

Shadows of Doubt is a newly launched detective game that lets you play as a private investigator assigned to solve different cases, among them: murder investigations. The title offers a procedurally generated world, ensuring that each playthrough is unique. The entire town is also fully simulated, allowing players to explore every nook and cranny. It is possible to have your own apartment in the game. This guide will provide you with information and tips on how to make the most of it.
Apartment – basic information
- You start with an apartment in the The Dead of Night mode. However, in the Sandbox, if you wish to have a house at the beginning, you need to enable it in options (it is turn off by default).
- You can buy an apartment during the game. It is possible to find offers in bars and restaurants, near phones. They are on the same boards, on which you can get work. You can notice them easily: jobs are rectangular and apartments are square.
- You lose your first apartment in the tutorial – it is not a bug. Just follow the story.
- New apartments are mostly empty. However, some players state that it is random, and they are sometimes furnished.
- You can only have 1 house at the same time.
- It is possible to furnish your apartment. Just press X, and in your inventory menu pick Edit Decor button.
- Save before and after doing anything at your house (furnishing or storing items). It is very buggy right now!
- If you can’t locate your apartment, open the map (press F and click icon in the upper left corner of the screen). Now pick the second option from the top (house icon). You will be able to locate your place.
- If you have a computer, the password is 1234.
How to use the apartment
- You can remove some statuses like stinky or wet (just use shower or towel).
- You can sell items in the apartment. Of course there are shops in the game. You can visit pawnshops. However, staff is not always there and you have to wait in order to get your money. On the other hand, when you drop the items in your apartment, you can sell them from your decor menu. Nevertheless, some players state that their value is random. What is more, save before you do it, because apartment is buggy.
- You can store your items thanks to the décor menu (just drop objects in the room and find it in the inventory of the house and press store). However, if you want to do it, save the game. It is buggy and items can disappear.
- It is possible to wait. Just go to bed and set the alarm for the proper time.
