"“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall," the statement read.
Annie Wersching has appeared in such productions as 24 Hours, Bruce Almighty, The Vampire Diaries, Bosch or Marvel's Runaways. Her most recent roles include the Borg queen in Star Trek: Picard and Rosalind Dyer in Recruit.
However, gamers may most associate the actress with her role as Tess in the first installment of The Last of Us. The news of the woman's death prompted a reaction of the game's creator, Neil Druckmann, who at the same time announced the start of a fundraiser for the artist's family.
