An update on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy story
Since the reveal trailer of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was shown at PSX 2016, the fans have been on the lookout for any information they could get on the upcoming expansion. And here it is, as delivered by Game Informer.
A batch of new information on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy emerged online along with the release of the April issue of Game Informer. As we already know, the protagonist in the story-based expansion is Chloe Frazer, whom we first met in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. She travels to a mountainous region of India in search for a legendary artifact known as Tusk of Ganesha. On her quest Chloe teams up with Nadine Ross, Nathan Drake’s rival in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Together the women have to beat the mysterious Asav, the story’s new antagonist, in the race for the treasure.
At first, the two women are a bit distrustful towards each other, but their relation changes with time. Interestingly, this will be reflected in gameplay, e.g. Chloe’s companion won’t be so eager to help her out in combat on the early stages of gameplay. Besides, each of them has a different history with Nathan Drake, and thus offers a unique viewpoint on what we’ve seen so far. We can also expect some good old friends making an appearance in The Lost Legacy.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will feature more diverse puzzles, a lock-picking mini-game, and the largest game level in the history of the series – bigger than the Madagascar mission. This will surely be a fine goodbye to the series – that’s right, this is most likely the last Uncharted game from Naughty Dog, at least for now. The studio is currently busy with The Last of Us 2 and would also like to realize some other projects.
