Among Us Devs: „Don't Listen to Hacker Threats”
InnerSloth, the devs of highly popular Among Us, assured players that hacker threats that sometimes appear in the game, suggesting theft of private data, are unfounded. The team also informed about plans for fight against cheaters in the future.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- The recent actions of Among Us devs have helped in the fight against cheaters, but the issue persists;
- Developers assure players that hacker threats are groundless - user data is safe;
- In December, a system of user accounts will appear in the game.
The creators of Among Us at InnerSloth have published a note on Steam, summarizing the current situation on the "frontlines" of the war against cheaters in their game. They report that the recent changes have helped prevent many such problems, but the developers still have a lot of work to do in this area. Subsequent updates will be implemented slightly slower to minimize the risk of bugs.
On the same occasion, the players have also been reassured that the threats from cheaters, concerning the hacking of the device on which the game is running, are baseless. User data is completely safe, and if we find a cheater, it is best to ban him or move to another room.
Another interesting information is about introducing user accounts. The system will appear in December and will enable players to report toxic people or hackers. In time, we can also expect additional solutions, such as a friends list. Developers are also working on a new map and further translations.
The note also lists the most important changes introduced in the latest update - the things we described in this news dedicated to the beta version of the patch.
