Amazon Games' Head Mike Frazzini Leaves Company
Mike Frazzini, the head of Amazon Games, has left the studio. In a letter to employees he reassured that it will not affect the team's work.
Amazon Games has lost its leader. Last Friday Mike Frazzini informed studio's employees about his decision, explaining that he wants to devote more time to his family.
The departure was first reported by Bloomberg. Frazzini spent 18 years at Amazon and played a key role in expanding the company into the video games segment.
In a letter to employees, Frazzini explains that he is leaving Amazon Games in a good spot. In the last six months, the company has released two very popular games (New World and Lost Ark) and the future of the company's game department looks bright.
Frazzini assures that he leaves Amazon Games in good hands and his departure should not cause any problems.
Recall that the western version of Lost Ark debuted this February. The game turned out to be a gigantic success. The game's current activity record is 1.325 million concurrent players, which is the second highest result in the history of Steam.
In turn, the release of New World was held in September last year. Here, too, impressive results were achieved - the game's activity record on Steam is 913 thousand concurrent players.
