Altered Carbon: Resleeved is an anime spin-off of the popular live-action series from Netflix, which is an adaptation of the science-fiction novel series by British writer Richard Morgan. The show will be created by Dai Sato, who worked on the hit series Cowboy Bebop, as well as such acclaimed anime shows as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eureka Seven and Ergo Proxy.
Altered Carbon: Resleeved will take place on the planet Latimer. This is where fate has brought Takeshi Kovacs, the main protagonist of the Netflix show and the books, currently in his new sleeve. He is given the task of solving the mystery of the death of the local yakuza boss and protecting a tattoo maker, a key figure in the gang's "ritual of inheritance". The girl is interested in the C-TAC unit operating under the orders of the United Nations.
So far we do not know the members of the English voice cast of Altered Carbon: Resleeved. However, given that Kovacs is in a his new body in the anime, it is rather unlikely that we will hear Joel Kinnaman or Anthony Mackie in the production, who played the character in the live-action series.
As a reminder, the first season of Altered Carbon debuted on Netflix in February 2018. Although not everyone liked the title, among other things due to deviations from the original book, it lived to see the second season. It had its premiere a few weeks ago.
