First Reviews: Aliens Fireteam Elite - Critics are Divided
We finally lived to see another shooter set in the universe of Alien. However, opinions on Aliens: Fireteam Elite are divided.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is the first shooter set in the well-known universe since the controversial Colonial Marines. The game did not have too strong competition and could show that the world of Alien is still suitable for transferring to the ground of shooters. Taking into account the game's first reviews, we can say that we certainly received a game much better than Gearbox Software's "memorable" title. However, it should be noted that the opinions of critics are divided.

The above list clearly shows that in the case of Aliens: Fireteam Elite critics were not unanimous. This is because we can find here both the highest possible scores, as well as ratings like 30/100. On Metacritic, the average rating is 70 for the PC version, 72 for PS5 and 70 for Xbox X Series. On the other hand, OpenCritic shows the average value of 69. Definitely not a masterpiece, but the game can provide a large dose of entertainment for some.
In their texts, reviewers praise above all the satisfying shooting model and the ability to customize several character classes to our needs. Exterminating xenomorphs coming from all directions is said to be a lot of fun. Often mentioned advantage are also maps, which were designed by developers from Cold Iron Studios. Unfortunately, critics also point to repetitive gameplay and the fact that the game does not surprise the player with any new solutions. Many similar titles have already appeared on the market.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite should therefore appeal to fans of fast action and people who like to play with friends. Fans of the series who were hoping for a production dripping with atmosphere known from the movies, however, may be quite disappointed.
