Age of Empires 4 Update Coming Next Week; Adds Map and Scenario Editing
A map and scenario editor, ranked seasons in multiplayer, and balance changes - these are the major changes that next week's update will bring to Age of Empires 4.
First major update to Age of Empires IV is coming. The Festival of Ages is coming next week, and with it a lot of novelties.
Age of Empires 4 with content editor
Great news for fans of AoE is the introduction of a content editor to the game, which will enable us to prepare our own maps, change the existing options to suit our taste, and create custom scenarios.
Thanks to this tool modders will be able to spread their wings. For now, the tool will be available in beta. You can watch a trailer of the above changes below.
What else will the AoE4 update bring?
With the upcoming patch, the Festival of Ages event will begin, as well as ranked seasons in multiplayer. The first one will last for twelve weeks and the next one will start in the next few months.
In addition, the game will receive several interface improvements and unit balance changes. For many players this will be a great opportunity to return to AoE4, which launched in October last year.
