Thousands Join Open Beta for Broken Arrow. New War Strategy Game Sparks High Interest
Open tests of highly anticipated RTS Broken Arrow's multiplayer mode have started. Open beta cranks out impressive activity results on Steam.
The open beta of Broken Arrow, a war RTS game, developed by Steel Balalaika studio, has launched.
- Beta is available on Steam. If you want to participate in it, go to the game card on this platform and use the "Request access" option.
- The test version is 36.43 GB.
The beta allows you to test the multiplayer mode, in which two teams, each with a maximum of five players, can compete. Compared to previous tests, new specializations and maps are available, as well as additional features, including custom lobby and matchmaking. We can also play in co-op PvE scenarios.
In the post announcing the start of the tests, the devs didn't specify how long they would last, but on their Discord they assured that it would be at least two weeks. It's also possible that the beta will be extended.
Broken Arrow is generating a lot of interest. This is due, among other things, to the fact that many players perceive the title as the spiritual successor to the cult World in Conflict and the popular Wargame series. As a result, the open beta is very popular. Yesterday, at the peak moment of the day, 12,159 players were playing it on Steam simultaneously.
After the open beta launch, searches for the game's title on Google surged. According to these data, Broken Arrow is most popular in Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, and South Korea.
Let's recall that the game is a PC exclusive. Initially, the developers planned to launch the game this year, but the results of earlier tests meant that they decided to delay it to implement changes suggested by players. Some of them we can check in the currently ongoing open beta. Currently, the exact release date for the full version isn't known. The developers limit themselves to stating that it will happen in 2025.
