A Large Update for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords Comes Years After Its Release
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – the game released on PCs back in 2005 - just received a massive update, including: high resolution support (up to 5K), new controller support and achievements.
You won’t find a fan of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords that is not smiling right now. The reason for that is the massive update the PC edition of the game received a whole decade after its release. You can read the update notes on Steam and you can tell the improvements this update brings are definitely going to make the game much better-looking.
The game now supports high resolutions, including 4K and 5K, as well as widescreen. Your games can be saved on Steam Cloud and the game will be able to support different controllers, should you want to use one (this includes controllers from XONE, X360, PS4, PS3 and many others). While playing, the gamers can now collect achievements (37 in total) and, thanks to Steam Workshop support, the modding community focused around the game got a comfortable place to store their collections.
Furthermore, the famous Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRMC) that, as its name already suggests, restored substantial parts missing from the final release of the game and fixed many issues troubling it, is now available to those interested through the Steam Workshop.
One more thing worth mentioning is that the refurbished KotOR II will simultaneously debut on Mac, Linux and Steam OS. The game is priced at $10 on Valve but you can get it for 25% less if you do it before the 25th of July.
