Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Devs Make Tough Call to Meet Deadline
Beta-testing of the shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 won't occur. Fortunately, the developers also have good news for fans of Captain Titus' adventures.
There are just under 3 months left until the premiere of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and its beta tests were supposed to take place before the official game release. However, a recent announcement from Saber Interactive studio informs us that they have been canceled.
Space Marine 2 without beta tests
The developers decided not to release the beta because they want to focus entirely on refining the game, which is "almost ready." Organizing tests would require dedicating time and resources.
Let's remind that when the tests were announced, registrations were launched for those willing to check the continuation of the title from 2011. Such people won't be left with nothing. If the player signed up for these beta tests before June 28, 2024, as compensation, the studio will give him/her a limited Bolt Pistol skin, which you can see below.
Dedicated servers
A few days ago, the game's devs presented an extensive trailer with game modes, and in this announcement, they added one more good news - Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will receive dedicated servers. It's supposed to improve players' experience in online mode.
Let us add that earlier this week Saber released another material, which introduces the planet Kadaku, equipped with many key buildings.
After the release date was moved, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will hit the market on September 9, 2024. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
