Classic Star Wars game fans have cause for both joy and concern. Aspyr Media announced that it will release Star Wars: Bounty Hunter for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
The devs dropped a trailer for the game, revealing that it will be released on August 1, 2024. At the same time, they presented the prices applicable on the above-mentioned platforms. If you decide to pre-order the game before its release, you can expect a discount of up to 10%.
- Steam: With a discount $17.99.
- Nintendo Switch: $19.99 - with a discount $17.99.
- PS Store: $19.99 - with a discount $17.99 - to receive a discount, you must have a PS Plus subscription.
- Microsoft Store: $19.99 - with a discount $17.99.
We mentioned potential concerns about the approaching premiere at the beginning. They arose from the terrible reception by the players of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, for which Aspyr Media was also responsible. At the moment, this title has received nearly 7400 reviews from Steam users, with only 21% of them endorsing this adventure in the Star Wars universe.
If you haven't had a chance to check out Bounty Hunter yet, let's note that during the game we play as Jango Fett, the father of another famous bounty hunter from a "far away galaxy," Boba Fett. In total, we have 18 missions to complete in 6 different worlds.
It's worth mentioning that Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will receive support for the DualSense controller for PS5 (including adaptive triggers). Let's remind that the discussed game debuted in 2002 on PlayStation 2 and GameCube. Interestingly, a limited edition of the game for PlayStation 4 appeared on the market a few years ago. The company Limited Run Games was responsible for its release.
