The satirical comedy series 1670 will receive a second season. Netflix has just announced that the continuation of the story of the most famous Polish Jan Pawel is in the works. The decision of the streaming giant probably surprises no one, given how popular this title was. The mockumentary dominated the top 10 most-watched productions on the platform, gathered very good reviews from critics, and was very well received by the audience.
From the post published on Instagram, we can conclude that the new installment of the famous series will debut on Netflix in 2025. The exact premiere date of the second season is not yet known.
The main character of 1670 is Jan, the head of a noble family and owner of half of the Adamczycha village, who has to deal with everyday problems. His daughter does not want to marry the son of a magnate, peasants lack motivation to work, and relationships with his wife and neighbors are not the best. However, Jan does not intend to give up because he lives in Poland, the most powerful country in the world!
1670 is directed by Maciej Buchwald, and the screenplay was written by Jakub Ruzyllo. The cast includes Bartlomiej Topa (Jan), Katarzyna Herman (Jan's wife, Zofia), Martyna Byczkowska (daughter Aniela), Michal Balicki (son Stanislaw), and Michal Sikorski (son Jakub).
