10 Minutes of Gameplay from Oddworld Soulstorm
During the E3 2019, IGN interviewed Lorne Lanning from the Oddworld Inhabitants studio. At the same time, the extensive, more than ten-minute gameplay from the game Oddworld: Soulstorm was presented.
IGN interviewed Lorne Lanning from Oddworld Inhabitants. The topic of the conversation was the latest part of the Oddworld series of adventure and arcade games, dubbed Soulstorm. The conversation was accompanied by over 10 minutes of gameplay footage.
Two things stand out on the presented demo - charming atmosphere and solid graphic design. In terms of gameplay we are dealing with a title similar to the previous parts - a lot of exploration, puzzles and opportunities to interact with various characters.
Like the previous parts, Oddworld: Soulstorm was designed in 2.5D (a three-dimensional framework combined with a classic side-scroll perspective). Lorne Lanning stresses, however, that this is more of a 2.9D, because the backgrounds we see when we travel through the boards are often actually part of the level - we can reach these places if we find our way.
Let us remind that Oddworld: Soulstorm does not have a specific premiere date yet, but it should debut in 2020. We do not know the target platforms either.
